THE ITINERARY

Tuesday 13th October
Tour assembly | Crossbasket Castle Hotel
The tour begins just south of Glasgow at the stunning 17th Century Crossbasket Castle Hotel which has been transformed into one of Scotland’s most luxurious hotels. Having parked the cars in the Castle grounds, a welcome drinks reception is awaiting inside where you will meet your fellow tour companions and tour manager. We then move through into our private area of the Albert & Michel Roux Jr restaurant for a 5-course dinner with partnered wines.

Wednesday 14th October  
Crossbasket Castle to Isle of Eriska Hotel & Spa via Inveraray Castle
Driving Distance: 145 miles        Driving Time: 3.5 hours
After a hearty breakfast, the tour continues to the Isle of Eriska Hotel Spa located on a private island near Oban. This hotel offers a truly unique and memorable experience with views overlooking Loch Linnhe and the dramatic Morvern mountains beyond.

Our route takes you north along the banks of Loch Lomond on the A82 to Tarbet before heading West towards our lunch stop, the remarkable Inveraray Castle. Upon arrival at the Castle, we will enjoy a light snack in the Castle café with plenty of time to wander around the beautiful Castle. We then take the longer route South towards Achnaba before heading North on the A816 to Oban.  

We should arrive at the hotel early mid-afternoon with plenty of time to enjoy the many wonderful facilities the hotel has to offer. Take a stroll around the grounds taking in the scenery, relax in the spa or pop down to the golf course and driving range. This evening we will enjoy another excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant with accompanying wines.


Thursday 15th October  
Isle of Eriska Hotel & Spa to Rocpool Reserve Hotel via Dornie Driving Distance: 180 miles        Driving Time: 4 hours
Today we plan to leave the hotel at 10.00hrs with plenty of time for breakfast and another visit to the spa if you would like. Our overnight destination today is the boutique 5-star Rocpool Reserve Hotel in Inverness.

Our route takes us north to the town of Invergarry before joining the scenic A87 filled with gorgeous highland views to the Eilean Donan Castle in Dornie, our lunch stop today. Following a light lunch and a wander around the Castle, we continue our drive on the Highland Tourist route to Inverness.

This evening is a free evening for you to enjoy either the Chez Roux hotel restaurant, or you are welcome to wander into Inverness and choose from the many restaurant recommendations on offer.

Friday 16th October
Rocpool Reserve Hotel to Inverlochy Castle via Balmoral
Driving Distance: 189 miles        Driving Time: 4 hours 30 minutes
Today we have a big day of scenic driving ahead of us with our overnight destination the Inverlochy Castle Hotel in Fort William. This morning we head East via one of the most beautiful roads Scotland has to offer, the Old Military Road also known as the A939. This journey is full of smooth sweeping corners, open roads, and incredible scenery.

We will follow the highland route into the Cairngorms National Park to the town of Braemar where we have arranged a lunch stop at the Fife Arms Hotel in the centre of the town. There will also be an optional visit to the Royal Lochnagar distillery in Balmoral.

After lunch, we will continue our drive south on the Old Military Road before heading west towards Dalwhinnie and onto Fort William. Upon arrival, we will park the cars in the hotel grounds and check into our rooms. Dinner this evening will be in our private dining room with paired wines.

Saturday 17th October
Inverlochy Castle Hotel to Greywalls Chez Roux Hotel via Dunblane
Driving Distance: 179 miles        Driving Time: 4 hours
This morning we will leave the hotel after breakfast at 10.00hrs to being our journey on some more beautiful Scottish roads following the perimeter of Loch Leven to Glencoe before driving through the gorgeous Bridge of Orchy.

After lunch, we continue our drive on the dual carriageway around Edinburgh to the charming 4-star Greywalls Hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we will check into our rooms before meeting in our private room for a finale drinks reception and a superb dinner in the Chez Roux restaurant with accompanying wines.

Sunday 18th October
End of the tour
After a wonderful few days in Scotland, we will enjoy breakfast in the hotel before departing for home. If you have a long journey ahead of you, please do let us know if we can help with any recommendations on how best to break up your journey.

How to book or reserve your place on any of our events, trips & tours:
Booking your place on this event couldn't be easier. The first step would be to complete the online enquiry form and we'll call you back to get you signed up.

Once we have discussed your individual options, we will send you a booking form which when completed gives us all the necessary information about you, your co-driver and your car as well as other useful extras such as dietary requirements and special requests that you might have.

You can secure a place on any of our tours, road trips or driving adventures with a deposit of just £250 per person. There's no need to worry about paying anything more until the final balance is due (usually around 8 weeks before we travel) and you're welcome to pay your final before that date if preferred. If the event you wish to join is within the next 8 weeks, we will require the full payment to be made at the time of your booking.

Minimum numbers 
We have a minimum number of participants required for all of our events enabling them to be viable for us to run - this is usually 10 cars unless stated otherwise. In the event that we don't reach the minimum numbers, the tour may be cancelled at which point your booking deposit will be refunded to you, or if preferred, allocated to another event of your choice.
