The tour is designed to continue the celebratory weekend with a 5-night tour leaving from Shelsley Walsh on Monday 14th June and heading towards the stunning Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia.

Itinerary

Monday 14th June 2021

Driving Time: 3 hours                     Driving Distance: 117 miles

The tour begins as we all gather back at Shelsley Walsh in the late morning. We will take the cars up to the top of the hill climb before being waved off and driving back down the hill to begin our drive into Wales.

Our drive takes us into the Shropshire Hills on some lovely English A & B roads. We will cross the border in Wales and lunch halfway in Welshpool. After lunch, we join the A483 which takes us all the way from Welshpool down to Builth Wells, a stunning driving road with beautiful scenery.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we will have plenty of time to park the cars in front of the hotel building, check into our rooms and enjoy a cold drink before getting ready for dinner. We will all dine together this evening in the hotel restaurant for a 3-course meal including paired wines.

Tuesday 15th June

Driving Time: 4 hours 10 minutes                             Driving Distance: 155 miles

After our first Welsh breakfast, we will aim to leave the hotel at 10.00am this morning.

Today we have a stunning drive lined up for you as we spend the day exploring the Brecon Beacons. All the 155 miles involved today as filled with stunning driving roads and spectacular views.

The first 90 minutes will be spent driving to Llandovery where we will stop for coffee before joining the A4069, one of our favourite roads in Wales. We then continue back into the Brecons towards our lunch stop in Penderyn. Following lunch, we will spend an hour on more wonderful roads before arriving back at the hotel in the late afternoon.

This evening, you are welcome to dine at a restaurant of your choosing whether that be at the hotel or to one of several restaurants that we can recommend to you if you would like.  

Wednesday 16th June

Driving Time: 3 hours 45 minutes                             Driving Distance: 143 miles

Today we have another wonderful driving loop in store for you. After breakfast, we will head to the coast via some more great driving roads.

Our route begins by taking the A470 and A44 to Aberystwyth before following the coastal A487 down to Aberaeron. We will lunch along the coast before taking the A482 back towards the Brecons and finally the A40 skirting the North side of the Brecon Beacons.

This evening we will dine together at the hotel with a gorgeous 3 course meal with paired wines.

Thursday 17th June

Driving Time: 4 hours 30 minutes                             Driving Distance: 160 miles

Following three great evenings at Llangoed Hall, today we head for Snowdonia and the stunning Chateau Rhianfa.

Our route today takes us North via the beautiful Elan Valley. We will drive a loop of Elan passing by and over Victorian built water dams before stopping at the Visitor Centre for a coffee break and some photographs. Following our loop, we continue North into the Coed y Brenin Forest Park on some more brilliant driving roads.

Lunch today will be in Portmeirion before driving along to the coast up towards Anglesey. We should arrive at the hotel with plenty of time to check in and park the cars before getting ready for a wonderful dinner at the hotel this evening.

Friday 18th June

Driving Time: 1 hour 30 minutes                               Driving Distance: 58 miles

Lunch today is booked at the fabulous Anglesey motor racing circuit where we have arranged parade laps for us to drive the circuit in our cars before having lunch overlooking the circuit with beautiful sea views.

We will begin our route to the circuit by heading into the heart of Snowdonia taking in some of the best roads North Wales has to offer. We will drive to Capel Curig and onto Pen-y-Pass before joining the A55 to Anglesey. Upon arrival at the circuit, we will gather in the pit lane before being led around the circuit for a few laps and some great photographs. Following our time on the circuit, we have arranged lunch whilst we watch some of the race cars practice in the afternoon.

Following lunch, the afternoon is free for you to visit any local areas you wish or head back to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon after some wonderful driving days. This evening, we have arranged our finale dinner at the hotel with 5 courses and paired wines.

Saturday 19th June

Driving Time: 2 hours 10 minutes                             Driving Distance: 76 miles

Today marks the end of a fantastic tour across Wales, but it is not over just yet. Whilst this is an optional drive, we could not recommend it highly enough as it takes in some more spectacular roads including the famous Horseshoe Pass.

The drive today takes us from the hotel to the Welsh town of Llangollen where we invite you for one final lunch before heading home.
