A fabulous opportunity for an end of season hurrah in you Aston Martin
Wednesday 7th October
Check in at 19.00 for the 20.15 hrs overnight sailing to St Malo. Your on board pre dinner drinks, wine, dinner and accommodation is included.
Thursday 8th October
The ferry is scheduled to arrive at 08.30 hrs. We will proceed to the automobile museum at Loheac near Rennes for coffee, and a tour. We will have a light buffet lunch in the village. The circuit is reserved for our use from 14.00 through until 16.00 for some speedy lappery. After which we will proceed via Le Mans to the Hotel de France in La Chartre for check in, drinks and dinner.
After dinner films and race information from the 1959 Aston Martin victory will be shown in the bar.
Friday 9th October
Following a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we offer a day based on the delights of the region. Today all can relax from driving until the evening. We will be chauffeured to the Chateau of Chenonceau for coffee and a tour of the chateau, after this a tasting session at the Caves of Pere Auguste will take place with a snack luncheon. We will then call into Vouvray for a second tasting as we proceed home in the mid afternoon for the chance to rest and refresh before driving from La Chartre to the magnificent Chateau at Le Lude for an exclusive tour, drinks and gastronomic dinner. After dinner we will be coached back to the Hotel, leaving our cars in the secure car park at the Chateau.
Saturday 10th October
Following a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we offer a day based on Aston Martin, the Hotel de France, the Le Mans 24 hour Race, and the plantaganet city.. At 10.00am we will proceed to Le Lude to collect our cars and will then drive to Le Mans.
On arrival you have the choice of a) driving the public road section of the course, b) visiting the museum which chronicles the history of the race from 1923 to date, c) visiting the old town and Cathedral in the centre of town, or all three.!! Lunch is of your choice, we will rendezvous at 15.30 to return to the Hotel by 16.30
In the late afternoon a wine tour to two local vineyards, prior to returning to the Hotel for a sumptuous dinner including the opportunity to enjoy more of the local wines. After dinner there will be a presentation of the racing history of the Hotel de France, which features Aston Martin.
Sunday 11th October
Enjoy breakfast before the farewells and photo opportunities in front of the hotel and departure for 16.30 ferry from Caen arriving back into Portsmouth at 21.15 hrs. Alternatively once can drive to Calais to return via the Channel Tunnel.
