Itinerary

2017 Itinerary

Friday 12th May

This tour starts at Maranello in Egham for a coffee and a group photograph before making our way to Folkestone for our Flexiplus Eurotunnel crossing. We have an easy run on the first day to the charming Chateau de Fere hotel situated in the heart of Champagne country. This evening we will have a welcome dinner.

Saturday 13th May

After breakfast at the hotel we depart for our 5 star hotel in Beaune. We will head across country onto the pretty French D roads through the Champagne region with a stop at the former GP circuit of Reims/Gueux. The tour will stop for a photo opportunity in front of the old pits before re-tracing a lap of the old circuit. This evening we will meet in the hotel restaurant for fine gastronomy and wine.

Sunday 14th May

This morning we have time to explore Beaune for an hour or two, or equally depart and aim to get to our Hotel in Montreux for a look around. Our route takes us through Jura towards the Swiss Alps. The Hotel Victoria overlooks Lake Leman and boasts magnificent views. Once again dinner has been arranged in the Hotel restaurant with local fine wines included.

Monday 15th May

This morning we will enjoy views across the lake from the Hotel breakfast room. We will depart for our 50 minute drive to the Hublot factory shortly afterwards. Lunch has been arranged for you after the factory visit.

This afternoon is free for you to enjoy the beautiful surrounds. We urge you to make use of the funicular at the hotel to take you down to the lakeside. This evening is also free for you to enjoy and we can recommend local restaurants should you choose to eat outside the hotel.

Tuesday 16th May

Through the Alps today and over the Simplon Pass into Italy. Our hotel for the next 3 nights is the Romantik Hotel Relais Mirabella with dramatic views overlooking Lake Iseo. After some excellent driving roads we will make it to the Hotel in time to relax and take to the pool. This evening we dine in the Hotel restaurant.

Wednesday 17th May

Today we give the cars a rest as we have planned a private charter boat on Lake Iseo for you. We will head to Monte Isola, with a lunch on the isalnd and a tour of the lake. Transfers to and from the hotel have been arranged for you so you may enjoy a drink or two at lunch.

This evening we have arranged a wine tasting with antipasti at the hotel.

Thursday 18th May

Let the racing begin as today marks the start of the Mille Miglia! We have arranged a bus to Brescia leaving the hotel after breakfast to take you into the town.

The town is alive all day with participants preparing for the start. You can spend all the time you wish mingling with the participants and their cars. This evening we will convene in a car on the route to watch all the cars pass by as they begin their journey.

Friday 19th May

This morning we get back into the cars ready for our southbound journey, taking in the Mille Miglia Museo in Brescia. We then continue our journey on to Modena with the opportunity to call into the Enzo Ferrari Museum.  Our hotel for the next two nights, the Mini Hotel le Ville, is a family-run hotel situated between Modena and Maranello.

This evening we will meet for aperos before dinner in the hotel's acclaimed restaurant.

Saturday 20th May

After breakfast we depart the hotel for Maranello, where we have special parking arranged. We will visit the Galleria Ferrari and have lunch booked in Cavallino. We will place ourselves on the Futa pass to watch the Mille Miglia competitors blast through.

This evening a private bus will collect us to take us to dinner.

Sunday 21st May

This morning we depart Modena and make our way into the Dolomites, through the most spectacular alpine scenery on wonderful driving roads. Our Hotel, the Hotel Rossl, is in the Merano region and benefits from fabulous spa facilities to enjoy after some exciting driving.

This evening dinner will be served in the hotel's restaurant.

Monday 22nd May

Today we depart from the hotel after breakfast via our chosen route depending on which passes are open to us. Hopefully this is your chance to drive the famous Stelvio Pass but if not we have a fabulous route planned over the Ofen/dal Fuorn Pass.

Our hotel, Palace Luzern, is based once again in the Swiss mountains and we have dinner included at the hotel this evening.

Tuesday 23rd May

Today our journey takes us back into France as we head for our hotel in Metz and look forward to our Michelin starred dinner in the hotel restaurant.

The route takes us on a combination of autobahn, N roads and Autoroute over the lower Vosges mountains and along the Moselle Valley. The final part of our route is on lovely French D roads across country to our hotel.

Wednesday 24th May

After the tour's final breakfast you are free to make your way back to Calais. Your Eurotunnel ticket is on a Flexiplus fare so you can arrive as you please and have priority for the next train.

Don't forget to pick up your complimentary refrehsments from the Flexiplus cafe having checked in.

Bonne route!
