Corona Virus (COVID-19)

Here is some information relating to travelling and bookings with Corona Virus - COVID-19 in mind.

We are aware that following the ever-evolving news reports on the topic of COVID-19 'Coronavirus', that some of our customers are concerned that this may affect their travel arrangements and bookings taking place in the year 2020.

Classic Grand Touring is constantly monitoring advice from HM Government and the World Health Organisation (W.H.O.) with regards to travel and events.

We are assessing each tour, road trip and event on a case-by-case basis and we will be in contact with all participants and customers that have booked onto tours to provide constant updates on the progression of the individual tours.

Please be aware that if you are planning to travel with us there is a possibility that your tour/event may be cancelled, postponed or altered from the originally advertised itinerary to comply with legislation and protocol outlined by the relevant local authorities.

The safety and welfare of our customers, clients and suppliers are paramount.

Are the tours and events going ahead?
Yes. As of the 10th July, there is no reason to expect that any of our trips or events will not be able to take place. If the relevant authorities decide that the risk is too great to travel to any of the European countries we visit then that is where events and tours could be cancelled. Nevertheless, we are monitoring the situation and will update information if there are key developments.

Will I get my money back if events or tours are cancelled?
As per our terms, if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against travel to the areas where these events have taken place, you will be entitled to a full refund.

Can I cancel my trip and obtain a refund?
Until you are informed either by official organisers or ourselves directly, there is no reason to expect your holiday not to go ahead, therefore, the standard conditions for cancellation will apply. Details are available in our terms and conditions.

What happens if the situation changes while we are on holiday?
Classic Grand Touring will be monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis but in the unlikely event of a change of situation whilst customers are on tour, we will activate our relevant plan for the situation in hand. This would include tour diversions or making the decision to return back to the UK. This would be an exceptional situation and one that would require following the advice and guidance of the relevant authorities.

What travel insurance should I take out?
Unfortunately, we cannot advise on specific travel insurances but we always advise clients to fully research different policies and choose one with as high a level of cover as possible for you and your vehicle. We do however insist that customers travelling with us do have the necessary travel and car insurance.
