For tours taking place between April 1st and July 31st 2020 2020:

Are the tours and events going ahead?
Some tours are now being cancelled or postponed in accordance with government advice. If you are booked onto a tour or event, we will be in contact with you directly to inform you of the current status of your tour.

What happens if the situation changes while we are on holiday?
Classic Grand Touring will be monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis but in the unlikely event of a change of situation whilst customers are on tour, we will activate our relevant plan for the situation in hand. This would include tour diversions or making the decision to return back to the UK. This would be an exceptional situation and one that would require following the advice and guidance of the relevant authorities.

What should I do if my flight, ferry or Eurotunnel is cancelled?
We are aware of a low number of cancelled flights due to low demand and consolidation of passengers but no cancelled ferries or Eurotunnel’s at this stage. Check the status of your travel regularly to see if this has affected you however, we are monitoring closely and will endeavour to make you aware of any changes or cancellations.

What travel insurance should I take out?
Unfortunately, we cannot advise on specific travel insurances but we always advise clients to fully research different policies and choose one with as high a level of cover as possible for you and your vehicle.

For tours taking place beyond July 31st 2020:

Are the tours and events going ahead?
Yes. At the moment, there is no reason to expect that any of our trips or events will not be able to take place. If the relevant authorities decide that the risk is too great to travel to any of the European countries we visit then that is where events and tours could be cancelled. However, this would be a huge change from the situation at present. Nevertheless, we are monitoring the situation and will update information if there are key developments.

Certain countries have banned gatherings of more than 5000 people in confined spaces. Does this affect events such as the Monaco Historic Grand Prix or Le Mans Classic?
No, this ban only affects indoor events such as conferences and exhibitions.

Will I get my money back if events such as the Monaco Historic Grand Prix or Le Mans Classic are cancelled?
As per our terms, if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against travel to the areas where these events have taken place, you will be entitled to a full refund. This is not the situation at present and we are a long way from this being the situation.

Can I cancel my trip and obtain a refund?
At the moment, there is no reason to expect your holiday not to go ahead therefore the standard conditions for cancellation will apply. Details are available in our terms and conditions.
