Itinerary

This tour will take you through picturesque French countryside and sample outstanding cuisine at the famous Hotel de France, your base for three nights. We will take you to Le Mans for an up-close look at what the teams get up in their bid to win one of the most demanding races on the calendar.

Thursday 1st June

The tour begins at Portsmouth docks where we arrive at 1900hrs ready to check in for the 2030hrs sailing to St Malo. Your Tour Manager will meet you at check in where he and the ferry staff will direct you to the dedicated loading line for you and your car.

Once on board, you can find your cabin accommodation and relax before meeting your tour companions for pre dinner drinks. We have made a reservation in the ship's highly respected ‘Les Abers’ restaurant for dinner. At the end of the evening you retire to your comfortable cabins or to the on board bar for a night cap.

Friday 2nd June

Upon leaving the port we head South to our first rendezvous point of the day just South of Rennes. Coffee and croissants await us at the fabulous Manior de l’Automobile, which houses one man’s personal collection, which never fails to amaze those that view it!

Once suitably refreshed, we will take to the private circuit situated next to the museum. The circuit is ours for the morning to have a play before we head East to the Hotel de France, our base for the next three nights.

Saturday 3rd June

Having enjoyed a traditional French breakfast at the hotel, we begin our route to the Le Mans 24 Hours circuit. We will drive the very route used by the team cars driving to and from the circuit between 1953 and 1963, including the 1959 winning cars. Upon arrival at the circuit we make our way to the Le Mans Karting Centre for an 8 minute qualifying session and two 10 minute races.

After we have crowned the winner at the Karting centre, we will head for lunch at a beautiful local restaurant before heading to the Le Mans simulator centre for some more competitive racing

Tonight dinner is served at the hotel where you will be joined by your tour manager who will give you some insight into what it was like to race at Le Mans in the 50’s and 60’s.

Sunday 4th June

Today, after breakfast, we make our way back to the Le Mans circuit for a full test day experience. We are invited to one of then team garages to see the team work on the cars as they prepare for the 24-hour weekend!

After an exhilarating day seeing all the cars on the circuit we make our way back to the hotel for the finale dinner.

Monday 5th June

We have a leisurely start this morning with time to relax at the hotel or wander around the town. There is time to take a light lunch at the hotel should you wish before departing for the port of Caen to check in for the 1630hrs sailing.
