Thursday 20th July
Depart from Holyhead for the Irish Ferries services to Dublin Port in the Club Class section of the ship. We commence our journey northwards to the luxurious Galgorm Resort and Spa, situated on the spectacular River Maine surrounded by 163 acres of beautiful parkland. You can enjoy the tranquility of nature and experience pure relaxation in one of the riverside hot tubs or indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools. Before arriving at the hotel we suggest a stop at the Bru na Boinne Centre, home to the 5000 year old passage tomb which is a must visit when in the area.
Friday 21st July
Today you will enjoy a fantastic drive along the Antrim coast, taking in the truly beautiful views as you hug the coastline before visiting the Giant’s Causeway and the Bushmills Distillery. Time permitting there will be additional recommend stops in the afternoon before heading back to the Galgorm Resort Hotel via the stunning Nine Glens of Antrim. We should arrive back at the hotel with plenty of time to relax before dinner in the hotels restaurant.
Saturday 22nd July
This morning we check out of the hotel after breakfast and begin our drive to Belfast. We will park the keys securely at Titanic Belfast for a tour of what has been voted Europe’s leading visitor attraction at the World Travel Awards. After the visit you will find a black cab waiting for your outside to take you on a guided tour of the famous landmarks in and around Belfast including the Policitcal Murals, Belfast Castle and much more. The black cab will then take us back to our cars where we will begin our cross country drive to Donegal and Lough Eske Castle, our 5 star overnight stop.
Sunday 23rd July
Today our drive will take us southwards through Silgo and Mayo to the wonderful Ashford Castle grounds. There are several routes to take including part of the magnificent Wild Atlantic Way, the Sky Road and the hills of Connemare. Our hotel for the next two nights is The Lodge at Ashford Castle. The Lodge was originally built in 1865 and sits alongside the magical Lake Corrib. The Lodge offers mellow country house hospitality that exudes classic refinement with modern appeal.
Monday 24th July
Today we will drive through the the captivatingly strange yet beautiful limestone landscape of The Burren to the famous Cliffs of Moher, which rise to over 700 feet. You will be amazed by the magnificent views. Upon return to the hotel, a grand finale dinner has been arranged in the George V room at the Ashford Castle itself. You will dine like royalty in this graceful setting underneath the twinkling Waterford Crystal chandeliers.
