As I write the title ‘Summer Newsletter’ it certainly feels appropriate! We spent this year’s hottest weekend at Goodwood Festival of Speed, Tilford Fete and the Ferrari Owners Club Concours at Walton Hall. Three very different garden parties all featuring cars!

We aim  to keep you updated via the website with tour reports of our events that have happened so far. We discovered a very nice website belonging to a client who wrote a very nice report on our Spa Classic tour – see http://www.daytonaramblings.com/spa-classic-2013.html for interest.

Since then we have had our first foray to Ireland, on this occasion to the Gordon Bennett rally. We found the Irish roads, Irish Hospitality, Irish accommodation and of course the Irish Guinness all excellent! We shall return!

We were particularly pleased with the selection of cars we assembled for the Grand Prix de Tours. The Blower Bentley, a Type 35B Bugatti, a Lagonda V12 Le Mans and Mk I Escort RS1600 all departed together on the overnight ferry to Caen. They enjoyed the Saturday rally with lunch stop at a chateau, then a sublime dinner at the chateau de Villandry on the Saturday evening.  The weekend culminates with demonstrations around the centre of Tours that our guests could take part in. The group enjoyed themselves immensely and highly recommend others to attend next year.

What’s left? Well, up next we have the Circuit des Remparts tour to Angoulême which is at capacity for the full tour down with 35 cars. Bookings are coming along nicely for our weekend tour to Burgundy, which incorporates a night in Champagne, parade laps of the Dijon-Prenois circuit and the promise of some superb historic racing at the Trophée Historique de Bourgougne. Do get in touch if you have not yet received details.

Lastly, we tour down through Spain to the Algarve to the superb circuit near Portimao, join us for a lovely way to round up your season of European motoring.

Happy motoring!
