TRAVEL BONDING

Classic Grand Touring is now proud to be protected with our very own Air Travel Operator Licence (ATOL)

CGT has always been at the forefront of travel bonding keeping in line with all regulations as a travel agent and tour operator to best protect our clients and customers money.

CGT has previously had a bonding scheme in place enabling us to provide a small number of flights for our customers each year through an ATOL angel system. Our new and improved bonding allows us to book flights on behalf of our customers with no restrictions on volume.

How else are we bonded?
CGT and The Automotive Event Company continue to be bonded through ABTOT (Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust) meaning that once you’ve planned your holiday with Classic Grand Touring, you can relax knowing that your booking is bonded through ABTOT's Code of Conduct. This means that in the extremely unlikely event that we as a travel company were to go out of business, there is a quick, clear and simple process for you to follow as a customer, enabling you to either continue your holiday as planned or simply get your money back.

You are protected as a CGT customer for hotel, sea, land and rail travel bookings with ABTOT.
For more information about ABTOT please visit www.abtot.com

You are protected as a CGT customer for all air travel bookings by ATOL.
For more information on ATOL please visit www.caa.co.uk/atol-protection/

NB: If you book your holiday from outside the UK, this protection won’t necessarily apply but other schemes may. Please contact us in advance of placing a booking for more information.

Aren't all driving tour operators bonded this way?
Amazingly, no! - There is no legal obligation to be bonded through a government-regulated company for hotel, land, sea or rail bookings which means your money is not necessarily safe in the event of a provider or booking agent going out of business.

Our tip to anyone looking to place any form of booking with anyone acting as an agent including individuals booking on behalf of small groups and friends is to check that they are bonded in such a way that financially protects you as a paying customer. Look for the logos and check with the bonding companies to clarify that the company or individual on the relevant register.
